Unable to Cancel Without Terminating Payment

I made the mistake of switching to KableD in 2014. I thought surely paying less for internet was the way to go. I was wrong, and would regret that decision for years.

I moved from one German town to another in October 2017. Before I moved I contacted KableD and asked if it was possible to keep my service with them since I was only moving about an hour away. This is when the first of many problems began. They scheduled a time and date and didnt show up. I took off of work just to be there for this appointment only to find out they had a scheduling "issue". They rescheduled and the individual came out. He was unable to get the internet working right away, and had to come back again another day. Finally, after nearly 30 days without internet, the problems were all fixed or so I thought.

They had charged me for my old service and my new service when they promised it would just be a transfer. I tried to call multiple times and was told that they took care of the problem and everything would be ok. The only thing they managed to accomplish was instead of charging only one of my bank accounts they charged both. So, I tried to call again and they couldnt find my information/werent able to speak to me cause my "old" account that I was still being charged for was canceled. I tried to go into one of the stores in Bitburg to stop my account and they told me they couldnt help me and that "I had to call customer service". After a few more months, around April 2018, I was fed up with trying to talk with them so I told my bank to stop payment of the charges. Finally, Vodafone sent me emails about the account. Then they sent my information to a collections agency. Meanwhile, I was still paying for the service I thought I was using at my new home.

I am now out of the country and Vodafone refuses to speak with my girlfriend who is in country. They also canceled my service at my new home,  and I'm still being charged for something, but have no idea what it is. I again will go to my bank and request them to stop payment in an attempt to end all of this.

I was wondering if anyone else has had similiar problems. I have been double charged since November 2017 - April 2018 and am still currently paying for a service I dont have. The total I will have paid is closing in on 1000,00 of services I have not used.

Hello Lj1207,

I will be happy to help you and take a look at the current contract situation. Please send me your customer number, name and the two addresses by private message and then report again here in the article.

Have you only temporarily moved abroad or there? So that your girlfriend also gets information, you simply have to fill out a power of attorney. You can also send it to me by private message.

Best regards

Nancy

Hello Lj1207,

thank you for your private message.

So that I can help you, I still need some information. Have you moved again in the meantime or to the address you gave me? Did you receive documents for the connection to the new address and were able to use your Internet there? Is your stay abroad permanent or temporary?

Best regards

Nancy
