New contract cancellation period

Hi,

I opted for a new contract some 4 days back. Yet to start the service. Can I cancel the contract? Is there a review period, during which I can cancel a contract. The shop owner says 1 day. Is it true?

Hello,

if you have the contract in a shop, then there is NO right of withdrawal under the Distance Selling Act. You have actively approached the provider and therefore have to fulfill the contract.

It looks different if you have the contract online, by phone or at the front door. Then you have a right of withdrawal of 14 days. according to the Distance Selling Act.
