Port Forwarding

I cant port forwarding on my router Ariss TG3442DE i no have option for port mapping(forwarding). I want know this router cant port forward or i want other one router for do it? Or i want make my IP addres to IPv4 ?

Hello Tuncat,

you get an IPv4 in 2 ways:

either you connect your own Fritzbox, or

You take the Arris into bridge mode and operate your own router behind it.

Your connection is currently running on DS-Lite. This does not allow port forwarding.

I have the same problem.
So this answer means that: there is no way to open ports with TG3442DE alone. Is this right?.
Please confirm if:
A) Is it about IPv6? .. like in "ports cannot be oppened in IPv6"? Which is obiously false and it would mean a very basic limitation.
B) Is it a limitation of the (free) Arris router?. But In the users manual of the router there is a "port mapping" section under "internet". I only get "firewall"... all or nothing ...
Or
C) it is 100% linked to that "DS-Lite" connection thing? What is that? Can be upgraded to some type of connection that does allow port forwarding out of the box as the user manual shows?

Please clarify a bit further since this type of configuration is very basic and taken for granted by the customer since long time. Opening ports does not mean that the customer should know how to set up a network as in "take the Arris into bridge mode and operate your own router behind it".
