Moving abroad

Hi,

I'm planning to move from Germany to Sweden on the 1st of June, in 4 months time. My DSL contract ends on the 21st of March 2021 so I would need to cancel this in advance. What are the steps that I need to go through to do this as painless as possible?

Appreciate a quick response.

cheers

NOTE: This is for cable contracts only (internet using the antenna outlet) - NOT to be used for DSL contracts (internet using the telephone outlet!)

Easiest step is to send a relocation request using the following link:

https://kabel.vodafone.de/meinkabel/meine_kundendaten/umzugsservice

As far as I know, you can already do this right now - but you might also wait until April or May.

You'll then get a confirmation letter to your old address - please note that you might be required to send official proof of relocation after you left Germany, e.g. a copy of the deregistration notice ("Abmeldebescheinigung").

Your relocation request will therefor be processed as cancellation as Vodafone is not able to provide you with a cable contract in Sweden. The 3 months notice period will start the earliest from the day of the relocation (on that official letter), but not before your relocation request is received by Vodafone. Therefor send the request in advance and send the official deregistration notice afterwards.

Please also note that you need to send back any cable rental device to the rental center in Nuremberg.

Hi @zervez,

I am a bit confused. You write DSL, but have put your contribution on the cable board.

Which kind of technology do you use?

If you are not sure, tell me which router you are using. 🙂

Best regards

Norman

ahh I'm sorry, I didn't know this.

I have an EasyBox 804. Does that clarify things?

Edit: Hi @zervez  Thread moved to appropriate board. Best regards WolfgangF
