Hi,
I have a Call Ya prepaid SIM. I am currently travelling in India. I have not made or received any calls from the German Call Ya SIM. I have not sent any SMS's either. I have turned off data for the German Call Ya SIM on my android dual SIM phone and am using data only from an Indian Vodafone SIM. My phone shows that there is no data usage from my German Call Ya SIM. I have been getting incoming SMS's on the German Call Ya SIM but I believe receiving SMS's is free (https://www.vodafone.de/privat/service/callya-vodafone-world.html).
However, Vodafone seems to be deducting my balance periodically. I got 3-4 SMS's from Vodafone telling me that my account was debited for data usage. On closer inspection, I see that the balance is reducing in chunks of 0.94 Euros at a time.
Could you please help me figure out what the charges are for so that I can stop them?
Thanks!

It might be that these charges are for VoLTE activation...
So you may need to disable 4G/5G on the CallYa SIM card - especially if you don't use data...

Thanks for the info. I already have the option "VoLTE calls" for that SIM disabled. Is this what you are talking about?
My network mode is set to 4G/3G/2G (auto connect). I have just changed it to "2G only". I'll report back if that helps.

@reneromann Thank you very much. After about 24 hours of no charges being made, I'm reasonably confident that the problem was indeed fixed by disabling 4G as you suggested.
I should have put up this post a couple of weeks back when I first noticed the charges. Would've saved a good amount of money. D'Oh!

I am glad that your problem could at least be solved for the future. Do you have any further questions or can we close here?
