While I do not believe this post will be of any interest to the general public, I am writing it in order to make sure that my Vodafone contract has been duly terminated. (I was told to do so by the customer service.)
Since I no longer live in Germany and since my German bank account is soon to be closed for good (in the next week that is), I figured it would be a good idea to confirm termination of all Vodafone contracts to my name. I have done the required steps on my part and want to make sure that my request has been processed adequately on the other end.

Please note that a mobile phone contract CANNOT be terminated prematurely - it'll run until its "normal" end as you can still use the contract abroad to the conditions agreed (of course, roaming conditions apply).
A premature cancellation is only possible for landline contracts - DSL or Cable internet connections - and still then you have to pay for (at least) 3 months after leaving Germany, depending on when your cancellation was received by Vodafone.
