Just moved to a new flat and using the current router of the previous tenant, What can I do to receive my Activation code ? I haven’t received it after welcome letter and even requested again from portal.. I really don’t get it Why is it so complicated to get cable internet service in Munich…

der Router gehört zum Vertrag des Vormieters
entweder du mietest dir zu deinem Vertrag einen Router oder kaustst dir im Handel eine Kabel-Fritzbox

Just to make things clear:
If the router from the previous tenant is a rental device, you will NOT be able to use it anymore.
Rental devices cannot be re-used for another contract and have to be returned at the end of the contract period.
Even if the previous tenant "sold" you the router, he never was legally allowed to do so as he never legally owned the device.
Thus you will have to either rent a router from Vodafone for your contract -OR- you will have to get a retail router (e.g. FritzBoxes with specific item codes as stated in the manufacturers retail information FAQ in subsection 3.1). Any previous rental devices like the Vodafone station, even if bought as used devices, cannot be registered for another contract than they were initially assigned to.
