Cancelling my vodafone contract

I recently terminated my stay in Germany on August 1, 2018 and have moved back to the United States. What information must I provide to cancel my vodafone internet contract? Thank you for your help.

I sincerely do wonder how many more threads regarding this very topic need to be opened here on the board before people realize that the answers are all already there - multiple times even.

Anyway, in a nutshell:

• Have you officially (as in "no, not by writing it in a U2U-board on the internet") informed Vodafone of your leaving the country in the past?
• Did you provide Vodafone with proof of your leaving the country (de-registration, "Abmeldebescheinigung")?
• If you haven't done so and hence haven't received a confirmation, this (first bullet point) should be your very next step to take.
• Be advised that you have the obligation to pay the monthly fee for another three months starting from the date of cancellation (in accordance with German Tlecommunications Laws & Regulations).
• Have you already returned all and any rental hardware to Vodafone?  If not, this should also be done as soon as possible.

Thank you for your response. I asked the question because often an employee will contact the person making the post and assist them directly. Is there a specific place to send the letter? I do have my abmeldungbescheinigung but I haven't sent it to Vodafone yet. I have no hardware to return.
