Hello,
And thanks in advance for having all the potential readers to cope with my English. I have a strange issue with one of my CallYa cards, and I really hope to find a solution for it.
Almost 5 years ago - somewhere around end of November 2014 - when we first moved to Berlin with my wife, we bought prepaid CallYa cards. One for me, one for her. At the Vodafone store I also signed a contract for cable internet. During that time, the identity verification was not yet needed for CallYa customers, and I cannot really recall if the shop dealer asked me for providing a passport or ID card for the CallYa cards.
Some weeks ago, we took the decision to move to another provider. I filled out document 233 (Verzichtserklärung für Mitnahme) for both the numbers and sent it out to 40875 Ratingen. On the very next day, I received an SMS that my nuber is free for a switch now, also the amount of 29,95 EUR taken from my account. My wife though, didn't receive such an SMS. 3-4 days later a letter by post came, claiming that the number in question hasn't been found, and that we should send the request once more.
At that moment, we thought that probably when we bought the CallYa cards, we somehow regidtered her number at her name (we really couldn't recall, the only thing I know is that at 2014 the ID verification was not yet mandatory for prepaid cards). Therefore, we send the document 233 again, this time with her names. Unfortunately, the same happened - 3-4 days later a letter by post came, claiming that the number in question hasn't been found, and that we should send the request once more.
I then sent a letter with 233 on my name again, and an explanation on teh situation. Today my wife received a call from Vodafone, and they explained that none of hers or mine names match the owner of the card. She eplained them that we always have been the only owners of that number.
Some minutes later, she received the following SMS message:
Guten Tag Herr und Frau D*** vielen Dank für Ihr Schreiben vom 08. Mai 2019.
As I understand, in order to fill out document 251, we need to place there the names and the signature of the card owner. But the card owners for both mine and my wifes card has always been us, and I am almost 100% positive that those 2 cards have never been registered with our names. I know that, since the personal messages from Vodafone, that I receive are directed to "***", and ones to my wife to "Herr ***" - obviously dummy names.
As you can understand, we cannot really fill document 251, since according to our knowledge, the only owners of that SIM card was us. What frustrates me the most is how my number was released for a switch immediately. If it was possible for my number, what is the issue with my wifes numer???
I really, really hope to find a solution for that case, cause currently I am into a dead end. The problematic numer in question is ***.
Thanks and regards,
Stayko ***

Hello Mav1976,
And many thanks for your answer!
Actually, even my SIM-card was not on my name, since at 2014 no ID validation was required in Germany. It was assigned to a dummy name, something like Richard Mason. But yes - my SIM isready to be ported, my wifes is not due to the reasons I described above...
