Willkommen in der Vodafone Community
I have upgraded my internet access from cable 400 to cable 1000. Following this, Vodafone has sent me a new router (I suppose the one that supports 1Gbps uplink). After this - my HD Decoder stopped working.
I have been using it with cable, and now I get the error:
Please check the cable is connected correctly to ensure the digital receiver can receive the aerial signal. Otherwise please contact customer service.
The HD REceiver model is Sagemcom rci-88 320
My cable is properly connected. I am able to connect a PC to it and get internet access.
Suspecting that something might be wrong with the LAN interface on the Receiver itself, I have ordered a Wifi dongle from Vodafone and tried connecting it.
It properly detects it, finds the wifi networks, asks for the wifi key. But when I enter the key, it tries to connect and I get the exact same error. I think something is wrong with the receiver.

But no luck
I would call the support - but I don't speak very well german, and it would be hard for me to discuss this on the phone.
I'm a network engineer, so I know a thing or two about networking. I'm quite sure that this is not a L1 problem.
But I'd be happy to try any troubleshooting procedures you'll ask me to.

I'd be happy to take a look at the receiver / maybe a simply swap can fix it. Do you send me your customer data (customer number, name, address and date of birth of the contract holder) via private message?
Then please let me know in the post when you have sent me the data.

you dont have to do something, i changed the receiver for you. The receiver should arrive you this week.
