Hello, I am experiencing very bad download speed lately.

  • Welches Produkt hast Du? Red Internet & Phone 100 Cable

  • Welches Modem/ Router nutzt Du? CBN CH7466CE

  • Nutzt Du ein Leih-Gerät von uns oder hast Du ein eigenes Gerät? Leih-Gerät

  • Welcher Fehler tritt auf? Internet is very slow, I noticed it even more during last evenings. Some times ago I was always getting my 100Mb fully, now I usually get around 4-16 using the 2.4Ghz WiFi, and between 10 and 50 using the 5Ghz. I notice that the line is not constant at all, the speed drops and raises in few seconds but still far away from the full capacity of the line.

  • Welches Betriebssystem hast Du auf deinem Rechner? MacOS, Windows, Android & AndroidTV, Raspbian

  • Beginn und Dauer der Störung? I do not exactly, I would say after the Summer but at this level for 2 weeks.

Today I stayed home and I checked the speed regularly. The slow internet seems to happen during the evening, roughly from 20 to 23/midnight.

is it only at wifi or also with ethernet?

Also Ethernet, and I can confirm it is during evenings roughly between 20 till 23.30. During nights, mornings and afternoon it gets the full 100M.

can you do some speedchecks in your customer-portal? Please at several times a day.

Did you use a permanent ethernet-connection?

I will run more speed checks. I used the ethernet just for testing, normally I am on WiFi. I have the feeling the line is stuck when people in my building come back to their flat and use internet, as I said the connection is slow between 19.30 to 23.30.

Today the situation is indefinable: the speed test is between 3 and 9 Mbps. I have tried both cable and WiFi. I'm getting tired of this situation, especially because I can not watch any movie on youtube or movie on Netflix. In general the connection speed is incostant and far away from the 100Mbps you promise and I am paying for. In general I reach around the 100 only during late nights or mornings.

I checked your line right away. There is no increased load and other disturbance to determine.

Is it still the case that you only receive lower bandwidths in the evening or was it only temporary?

Yesterday evening it was fluctuating between 3-4 to 15-30. It's not constant, in fact during a speed test I was reaching 1Mbps, I will check during next days as well if the situation improves.

we currently have too high a load in our network and our specialist department is already checking possible relief measures. Unfortunately I cannot tell you yet when the full bandwidth will be available again.
