Slow Download zum Computer - cable internet 1000Mbps - Leinfelden area

Hi,

Today I got my new hardware, and activated my internet connection.  Using LAN the max download speed I get is ~200Mbps. My tarrif is 1000Mbps, and the minimum speed according to the contract should be at least 600-700Mbps.

I live in Leinfelden-Echterdingen 70771. I am using Chrome, Windows 11 PC.

Below is the result of a Vodafone speed test. The funny thing is that 'Download zum Router' is ~1000Mbps, but the 'Download zum Computer' is 167Mbps.

What could possibly be the problem? The hardware (including the router, coaxial, ethernet etc) is all new except of course my computer 😉

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

I would like to take a look at your connection and start an error analysis.

Can you please send me a PN with the following information:

Customer number

Name of the contract holder

Date of birth

Street + house number

postcode + city

State

Current mobile phone number

Have you already tried our network assistant? It can also help you with many problems.

Thanks so much for the helpful reply 🙂

I had not yet tired the network assistant. It turns out the problem was my laptop (or more like it LAN card). I tried to do the speed test on my work laptop, and there I got 800+Mbps which is pretty high, and also falls within the speed limit defined in the contract.

I am so happy now! 🙂
