Hello,
I recently ran into many issues with an older router dropping my connection. I have now replaced the router from Vodafone with a new one and it still lost connection. I wanted to know if there was a way to test or check the connection to the router or if I should get a second one to connect for consistent performance. Thank you!

what do you mean by getting a second router? Do you want to connect it to the current Arris router? When exactly was the last connection drop, did the router restart? Have you tried a different coaxial cable?
