IKEv2 and PISec VPN connection problems

Hi,

I'm trying to connect vpns whose types are PISec and IKEv2, but it only fails me.

My modem is CGA4233DE and the tarif is Red Internet & Phone 50 Cable.

I also have an additional router, TL-WR940N.

I tried to connect all my devices through this TPlink router but it doesn't work.

I urgently need this vpn connection since otherwise I can't work.

I'd really appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Edit: Turning off the firewall enables me to connect to vpn, but it's not a reliable solution I guess.

Hi zeros0121,

is the bridgemode activated or deactivated on the router? can you get any connection via your private router or is there nothing possible?

Best Regards, Manu

Hi Manu,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I figured that I could activate the bridgemode, and now I can VPN to any vpn protocol.

Now I wonder if there's another way that I can connect to VPN without the bridgemode.

Best,

Miru

Hi Miru

to use your VPN from a second device You need to do NAT to this device for a UDP-Ports 500 und 4500 & TCP-Port 10000.

Hope this helps,

Sergej.

Hi Sergej,

Can I open the port at CGA4233DE's setup page?

The setup page for CGA4233DE is very rudimentary...

And I've opened all vpn related ports from my router.

Best,

Miru

Hi again,

never seen CGA4233DE but if you go to menu Internet there should be Port forwarding. Setup port forwarding for all mentioned earlier ports to your backend  Router.

Hello zeros0121,

if you want to use a secound router (TL-WR940N), it's the best way with the bridge-mode. 😉

Hi,

it seems CGA4233DE's setup page has no such configuration...

I guess the brigde mode is the way to go.

Thanks anyway 🙂
