[English] DSL not working after switching power off/on

Hi,

Today I had to turn my router off and on, and after doing so my internet is not working.

I took the neccessary steps to try and fix it myself:

— Checked cable connections

— Connected/re-connected all cables

— Restarted the router

— Tried reactivating the connection from the FritzBox panel

— Factory reset of my router, then set it up again

After completing all these steps the internet is still not working.

Some things to note:

— The FritzBox panel shows the DSL connection is working, but the internet connection is not.

— The lights on the router are displaying correctly, as if there is a good internet connection

— My router is a FritzBox 7530

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey saracaricar,

after resetten the router, you need to configure it.
Either with the Wizard/Modeminstallationcode, or by hand with the onlineuser & password.

The option with the modeminstallationcode is always preferable.

Did you get any error message?

Most likely there should be a concrete error code - like for example PPPoE errors, wrong password etc.

Best regards,
Andre

Hi Andre,

Thanks for your reply.

After I reset the router I set it up again like the first time, with the Modem Installation code.

This is the log I see of the router after turning it on:

01.01.70
0:01:10
DSL is available (DSL synchronization exists with 12643/2591 kbit / s).
01.01.70
0:00:55
DSL synchronization begins (training).
01.01.70
0:00:41
5 GHz band for 10 min. Not usable due to check on preferred user (eg RADAR) on the selected channel (frequency 5,580 GHz)

But this is what I see on the DSL information page:

Screen Shot 2019-09-15 at 14.30.48.png

There doesn't seem to be a really obvious error.

Thanks
