2nd time asking for help: I have 200mbps plan, but I only receive 90mbps (after doing speed test)

Last week, I spent 2h trying to contact vodafone to solve my internet issues.

 

After hours of fighting on the menu (because I do not speak German), the operator said they are not allowed to speak in English.

 

I was calling 0800 52 666 25.

 

I have 200mbps plan, but only 90mbps (after doing speed test)

 

I am using my computer directly on the vodafone router (the simple version of it), so tried to reset the router.

 

How can I proceed? Is anyone available to speak on my mobile number and speak in english? 

 

Maybe something is wrong on my building, or I could ask to reset the signal. I do not know ... This is my second time here.

Please, help, otherwise I want to find another provider 😞

Any chance to have an appointment after 18:30? (And also after 04/september)
(I am tavelling until there)

Thanks again for helping! I Checked again yesterday, tried to remove the cable and put it again, looks the same 80mbps. Can you check if the noise is still bad?

Hello radicalrj,

 

yes, i checked the cable-router again and he is online with a normal signal. I see also, that you use the bride-mode with it. But the connection use only 100mbps and nothing more.

That's why you only have a download rate up to 80mbps.

Try a real gigabit ethernet connection to the cable-router. 🙂

I changed the ethernet cable, and looks like the problem is gone! Very strange.

Hi radicalrj,

 

I know this issue from myself. The plug was brocken and it seems like, that there were not all cables connected in it. So there was also only 100MBit/s transmitted.

 

Great that it works with another ethernet-cable

 

Can I close the thread?
