Hello,
I am a bit confused and have a question regarding my contract. I have paid off my phone and have been contacted by Vodafone to sign some sort of new contract without the additional phone payment. But I do not want to sign another contract for 24 months like they are pushing me to do.
I do not understand why I have to sign a new contract if the phone is fully paid off. Shouldn't the charges for this just drop off? If I do not agree to the new contract, will the phone charges now drop off my current phone bill and will I keep the cancellation flexibility?

No, the "charges" are the tariff price including the possibility to buy a new phone at a discount.
It was not just a 24 months installed payment that automatically drops off your current phone bill after 24 months.
So either you stay with your current contract (that includes the higher price but the discount possibility) and keep that cancellation flexibility -or- you extend by 24 months but the contract gets cheaper.
