Change of ownership or transfer of contract --- internet connection

Good day.

We are living in a shared flat and one of the members leaving the house.  Unfortunately, the Cable contract ( internet ) is with him.... so I wanna check with you before raising the "Transfer of contract " request.

1. when the contract is transferred,  24 monthly contract period will continue, or will the reset and count start from 0 months for the  24-month contract period ???
