Umzug - I have Vodafone Kabel not available at the new address

I am considering to move and might be moving within 2 weeks. On the new address there is no Vodafone Kabel which I have in the old apartment. Is it possible to ask for Sonderkündigung? There is Vodafone DSL available but in that case how long does the activation last? I work from home and internet is crucial for me!

With DSL, it always depends on Telekom how quickly the connection can be switched. To be on the safe side, you should report the move from cable to DSL at least 6 weeks in advance - and even then things can go wrong.
There is a special right of termination for the cable Internet connection with a notice period of 1 month if no further supply is possible at the new place of residence.
