Cable contract

Dear Team,

I have currently subscribed Red Internet & Phone 50 Cable and will be going to terminate it.  There was a cost of "Bereitstellungsentgelt" which I was being charged for 69,99 Euro at the beginning of the contract.  Will I get this amount back once Vodafone has received my returned Router and termination process has been completed?

One more question.  Another new cable contract will be registered and signed.  I would like everything ready (including the delivery of new Router as well as the activation process) on 29.04.2022 so the internet can be surely workable on the mentioned date without any disruption or delay of the internet connection.  May I know which date shall I register the new contract so the new Router can be arrived on time with workable internet connection?

Please advise.  Thank you.

Best,

Z

You can book online about 1-2 weeks in advance, then (if there is no rejection due to lack of creditworthiness or similar) everything should be fine.
If you order with a desired date, please note that the router will only be sent on that day.

No, you will not get back the provision costs, which must always be paid for a new contract. They are currently not calculated as part of a promotion for online purchases.
However, you are not a new customer with a new contract and you may be charged the normal price of the selected tariff immediately, despite the new term. In order to be considered a new customer, the household must not have had a Vodafone cable Internet contract in the last 3 months.
In your case, it would be better to contact customer recovery, whose phone number is on the cancellation confirmation, and conclude another tariff with possible goodies. Unfortunately, it can only be reached by phone and in German.

Thanks.  My first question is clear now.

For the new contract, it will be registered under another name.

But then you also have to enter a different bank account for the SEPA direct debit mandate. Please consider that.

Thanks again for your clear advice.  Back to my second question, which date shall I register the new contract so the new Router can be arrived on time with workable internet connection on 29.04.2022?

Since the solution was marked here, I'll lock it now. If you have any questions or concerns again, just start a new thread in the correct board.
