Very slow download and upload speed

Since a couple of weeks, my download and upload speed are critically low and I'm not even hitting 10 mbps download and 1 Mbps upload (see screenshot attached). Since I'm working from home, it's making my life very difficult when I need to receive and send files to my clients.

I already tried all the tips shown on your website and nothing helped. I am using an ethernet cable from the router to my PC. I already tried multiple different cables but nothing changed. Please help me figure out what the problem is since I don't have the speed written in my contract (up to 500 mbps download and up to 50mbps upload).

what kind of router do you use and how long has the malfunction existed?

 

Is it permanently active or only at certain times?

 

In which federal state do you live?

I'm using a Fritz Box Cable 6490. The bandwidth has been unstable for a long time (a few months) but it was managable. I would say since 2 weeks now it's close to unusable at times.

 

Overall the upload speed is always low but nowadays it's almost like we don't have upload at all. But it's really random. Sometimes it'll be normal during the day and slow down around 20h or it's really slow during the day and back to normal at nights.

 

I live in Berlin.
