Keeping router when switching contracts

Hello,

I've just terminated my contract because I'm moving abroad and was asked to return my router. However the next inhabitant of the apartment (a colleague of mine), will take a Vodafone contract as well.

We were wondering if it's possible at all for him to just keep the router without having to send it back and receiving a new one, and without having to pay 89 euros for it.

Thanks for helping!

No, unfortunately that is not possible. That would only work if your new tenant would take over your current contract, because the router is bound to your contract and must be sent back at the end of the contract.

Thank you. Would it be possible to have the old router taken back when the new one is being installed for the new contract instead of sending it in a parcel?

The router must be received by Vodafone no later than 14 days after the end of the contract, otherwise you will be billed.
Personally, I wouldn't have to pay that calculation. Above all, the router must be sent by parcel, you can't avoid it.
