Hi guys, I've seen recently that Vodafone will allow personal equipment to be used instead of theirs. I have been looking as to where I can request the change. If anyone knows who or where to send the request it would be much appreciated.

This has been the case for the last 4 years (at least)...

But you need equipment that is compatible with the corresponding line, so it won't work that you use a DSL modem for a cable line or a DOCSIS modem from the US over here which doesn't support EuroDOCSIS.

I have a Motorola surfboard sbg6782-ac, the stats for the device claim that is has Docsis and EuroDOCSIS.

I'm not 100% but it's worth a shot.

Nope - that device is NOT compatible.

- It is an US-only version only supporting DOCSIS3.0 and NOT EuroDOCSIS3.0.

- Next thing is that it does not comply with the needed amount of downstream channels (Minimum required by Vodafone are 16 Downstream channels - but that router only supports a max. of 8).
