Hello, I have received such mail saying that owner  has rejected GlassFiber extension. There are currently living tenants and I will move 1 week later. Could they have really found real owner of the building or maybe current tenants rejected Internet extension when someone showed up at the door. I can't connect either party at the moment but how does this work normally? Whom do they contact for extension? Do they try to find real owner of the entire building or are they just asking people living inside?

Vodafone need a "Gestattungsvertrag" (contract with the owner) for the installation.

No contract, no marketing, no Internet.

If it's really fiber optics, owners are required by law nowadays to accept the installation if there are no other already existing possibilities.

Anyhow this only applies to fiber optics cables to your appartment, not to any "older" techniques like fiber-coax hybrid networks (cable internet). Cable internet (using coax) does not fall within this regulation and the owner has to approve the installation of in-house coax cables (which most owners won't if there are other means like fiber optics or DSL available).

I have an update on this. My house owner is OK for fiberglass and told me I was the first tenant to ask for it. However, he just wants to be informed on "But they have to show me how they want to install it.". I called Vodafone again to restart my order specifically saying the owner doesn't reject fiberglass internet. Hopefully they will contact him and my problem will be solved soon.
