Took over contract

Hello,

I recently took over the Vodafone contract from my ex (which she could cancel every month cause the 24 month period passed). The customer support woman on the phone told us, that with a transfer like that the contract will still be possible to cancel every month.

Recently I received the papers by post and it says I have a 24 Monaten Kundigungsfrist. This is not correct.

Apart from that, I think the data I provided is not correctly imported in your system, so I cannot even check this online. My e-mail address does not seem to work when I login, and the phone number I used for the registration also does not seem to work. All I have now is my customer number.

Is there anyone that speaks English that I can talk to over the phone? I did not want a new 24 month contract - if that is required now then I will make use of my Widerrufsrecht.

There is no withdrawal right if you take over a contract. Once you sign the takeover, this is final.

Well, if I have a 24 month contract period (according to the papers) that means it is a new contract. That still means I have a withdrawal right which allows me to cancel the new contract I just received. That, of course, does not mean that the previous owner will have the contract again.

Again, this does not answer my question.

Hey steffeh,

if you take over a dsl contract from another customer , you'll get the same conditions, the contracts terms don't change.
Once the date communicated in the welcomeletter has come & you can use the landline , the widerrufsfrist / right of revoking is over.

If you have a 24months runtime for the contract , i feel like your ex has probably prolonged the contract, before the change of contract partners.
But I'll have a look into this.
