Red light flashing under "Internet" and DOCSIS Offline

Just installed new Wifi router (the free one) and the internet light is blinking red. I have registered it online and I can connect devices to it, but i do not have wifi. DOCSIS is Offline, but there are both 'upstream' and 'downstream' channels active.

Unfortunately, i have not received a call from the technician since the missed call on Monday. For reasons I stated in my private message today was my deadline to get wifi working.

 

This process is very exhausting and very expensive for me since I have to suppliment my wifi with additional phone costs and data charges. Also, i have a two year contract with Vodafone that will (assuming it ever works) expire long after I've left Germany meaning months of wasted payments.

 

I know I have asked several times before, but is there ANY way we can cancel my contract with Vodafone. I really would like to just move on with another provider. My experience with Vodafone has been very frustrating and i feel stupid having contacted my landlord to provide a letter to Vodafone, at Vodafone's demand, only to find out that it doesn't mean anything and it was a useless excercise. I really do enjoy Germany, but my first 66 DAYS in Germany have been a struggle without Wifi.

there's no contract yet. So far you can cancel the contract. The contract is only active when the modem is connected.

Thank you for the information. How can I cancel? Is it as simple as completing the form in my Vodafone box and mailing it back?

 

Also, I'm sure you can't answer, but can you tell me WHY I was told I can't cancel by the staff of the Vodafone store and the people on the Vodafone support line? I made a fool of myself with my landlord trying to complete the tasks they said were necessary in order to cancel my contract. I have been in Germany for months without wifi because of this (read the entire issue chain).

yes exactly, simply withdraw the order via the contact form for a special reason. So far nothing is active.

I have returned the package with the termination form - I have confirmation from the DHL tracking information that it was delivered yesterday.

 

Will I receive a notice confirming the contract was terminated? I don't want to get another bill from Vodafone after receiving no service and then get into some kind of legal trouble in my first months in Germany. Please let me know so I can move on as quick as possible.

I attempted to use your link and it sent me to the kontakt info page. Here I tried to cancel my contract and I got only 4 options in which I could cancel my contract, either I moved in Germany, I moved out of Germany, I finished my two years, or I died. None of these are the case since I'm actually cancelling service because it's been 3 months since I orderd my router and I never got service.

 

Can you please help me with this cancellation process. Is there a place I can submit this form online, can you send me that link? Currently I am waiting to start a contract with another company until I get feedback from you. If I receive another bill from Vodafone during this time I am going to be extremly frustrated. My first message on this forum was August 30 and here I am still begging for it to be over.

Yesterday I also submitted a "Cancellation Form" to wlan-shop@kundenservice.vodafone.com based on the cancellation instructions in English and I got a response back that this was the wrong way to cancel.... maybe it is because the form is from 2016?

 

Anyway I also submitted a "widerrufsformular" to kabel-widerruf@vodafone.com and that seems to have been more successful.
