Internet red led blinking on setup

I got the router, installed everything as per the instructions, but the internet red light won't stop blinking.

which router did you get from us? For how long is it connected to the multimedia socket? Which federal state do you live in?

Hey Claudia, thanks for your answer. It's not a problem with the router, but rather with the connection. I need a technician to come and probably connect the cables in the basement. I finally got help from a friend to call, as I don't speak German and Vodafone doesn't seem to like making things easier for foreigners. So I'm waiting for the technician to come next week.
