Hello, I have been waiting 8 weeks for a DSL connection. Was sent a modem along with MIC for set up. Was told everything was good but after initial configuration, the fritzbox 7530 can not connect. It has a timeout error and when i connect to WLAN i get a splash page that says (google translated) "internet access restricted. The connection to the internet could not be established. Please wait for the installation of your device has been complete." I can view the logs on the fritzbox and it says "Automatic setup and updates for this device by the service provider not possible" Please someone help me. I have tried to call but can not get through automated call tree because of my lack of German, and once i do i am unable to get someone who speaks english.

It's very annoying when the connection can't be set up. I'm sorry. Have you reset the router to factory settings and tried again? We have an installation hotline. The colleagues also speak English. The number is 0800 172 1201 and is free of charge. Have you tried it there?

Yes, I have reset the router and went through multiple troubleshooting steps. I have tried to call the hotline but can not get past the automatic system because of my lack of German.
