Dear Vodafone team,
Currently I have contract of Red Internet and Phone Cable 32 expiring at 05.Jan.2017
I'm trying to terminate my contract for more than a month or to extend it for two more years under the conditions of Red Internet & Phone 50 Cable for new customers.
Unfortunately whatever customer service numbers to call no one can help me ?!?
Please confirm above request of either terminating the contract or extend it under above mentioned conditions.
Your swift reply will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Regards,
Edit: Customer number deleted

If your contract is expiring at 5th Jan 2019, then it's already too late to cancel it (usually 3 months before end of the contract). Therefor it'll have renewed for 5th Jan 2020 by now.
Second: If you switch to the Red Internet&Phone 50 Cable contract, your contract may be renewed - but you won't get the conditions for new customers (as you are no new customer). There might be some discounts, but that will not reach the new customer conditions. You may have a look for the conditions within the customer self service online portal if you try to change the contract speed.
And the last thing:
This is a moderated customers-help-customers forum and NOT an official way to contact Vodafone. This especially means that you cannot send any kind of legally binding cancellation to Vodafone using this forum - you'll have to use the official ways (by customer contact form or by regular mail) to cancel your contract.

Hello,
In my request of contract termination via the on-line portal the following was received
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Mr. xxx,
to solve your problem, please visit our Vodafone forum under forum.vodafone.de. Open a new thread for your questions and have a little patience. One of my colleagues will take care of your problem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So it seem for Vodafone the forum is official way of contact ?!?!?!?!
And if Vodafone want to earn 10 euro/ month from me on top of what will be earned from new customer for next 1 year, OK but this will be the last contract with Vodafone ever for me due to their absolute ridiculous customer service.
The only thing what I need now if contract contract is extended to 2020 is to submit official notice of termination in order to be sure that after one more year I will be definitely no longer binded with Vodafone.
Edit: Name removed. Please don't post personal information in public. Thank you.

The problem is: This forum is NOT an official way to contact Vodafone...
I know that these kind of messages are sent out, but this is due to the fact that you sent a message in English. Usually a mod will help you - but this may take some time (as I said - it's a moderated customers-help-customers forum and not an official way to reach Vodafone).
By the way: As you are in Germany, German is sole contractual language - Vodafone is not legally bound to accept any kind of messages concerning your contract if they are not stated in the contractual language (but they may accept them).
For your contract:
As I said, your contract will have already self-renewed due to the fact that you are too late with your cancellation (it has to be received by Vodafone either 3 Months or at least 6 weeks before the end date [depending on the initial minimum contractual term]). It was up to you to send a cancellation in time - but obviously you didn't...
For the 10 Euro on top for long-lasting customers: It sounds strange, but it's absolutely normal that new customers get a better price for a limited timeframe. As you are not a new customer at all, you'll have to pay the "regular" price (maybe you'll also get a limited discount, but not as much as a new customer). Please keep in mind that for a new customer, there are additional costs that you don't have like activation fees and the whole hassle of sending devices forth and back. That's the same if you'll go to another provider - you'll get a discount as new customer, but only for a limited time. If you want to get them every time, you'll need to switch providers every two years - if you want to have this hassle only to save 10 €/month, then you can do it...

HIello reneromann,
Looks you are well into the Vodafone matters.
I'm not going to defend my position as I don't need to but let me say the Vodafone contracts are either for people with bad German, not well informed or lazy people.
However it will be helpful if you can advise as follows
1) What is the official way to contact Vodafone
2) What is the official way to submit notice for contract termination. It is written in the contract that notice should be in written but to whom it should be sent. If by mail what address? If by post to what address?
You can conclude contract by phone but you cannot cancel it by phone.
BTW in my case Vodafone have no in their procession a contract signed by me. I have never signed anything. Contract concluded by phone only. This is a bit crazy.
I'm trying to terminate the contract since November but of no avail.
So if someone is able to let me know how and to whom to submit termination notice even for contract termination in 2020 I promise to do it in German 😉
Thank you.

Your cancellation can be done to any of the given possiblities that are stated on your invoice:
a) using mail to the postal address (should be anything in Erfurt for cable matters)
b) using the contact form (you already found and used it before)
By the way: There is no need for a written or even signed contract - you are concluding contracts every day without signing anyhting, like buying bread or breadlings from your bakery or if buying something in the supermarket.
And because of the specialities of contracts made by means of telecommunications (by phone, by mail, online, even at home), you have the special right to review the contract and withdraw from it (Widerruf) within a timeframe if you notice that the contract does not match what you want.

Hello Nancy,
thanks yours. What I asked was to conclude a new 2 year contract for Red Internet & Phone50 Cable under the conditions for new customers.
However understood that it would be not possible.
Hence I will use the contact form and from January 2020 will enjoy new provider.
And will never forget the lesson for safety sake to submit notice of termination on the next day after concluding the contract 😉 This saves much time.
And never back to Vodafone again, of course! No bad feelings but poor customer service, unfortunately.
Thanks again.
Regards,
Dimov
