Hi there,
Account number is ***. I am having trouble contacting customer services as my German is not good enough (sorry)!
A couple of weeks ago I sent a request to cancel via the contact form on the webiste and this has been received and acknowledged. I am being relocated to UK as from the end of July so no longer require any internet/phone service in Germany (actually I am currently stuck in the UK and cannot get back to Germany at all at this time due to the corona virus pandemic).
I have several questions:
1. Is my service terminated only from the end of July (my fear is that Vodafone already terminated it)
2. Vodafone sent me a letter (attached) saying that my request to terminate is accepted but contract runs until September, 2021! Obvously I do not want to pay until then. Please can you confirm that my last payment will be made in July/August timefarme and that after I rfeturn the router etc, I will be free!!!

Hi Tipper54,
thanks for your pm.
As I can see you already send us an e-mail with your cancellation for that and already got a confirmation.
Meanwhile the first confirmation for June 2021 was adjusted today. The new cancellation date is 29 October 2020, as the earliest possible date.

Thanjs for the feedback, Stephan.
It means I still have to pay for 6 months even though I will leave Germany at the end of July and I have given notice?
As for when I return to Germany (hipefully in May) can you please confirm that I will have internet/phone and that it will be working until my termination/cut off date that I requested of 31/July.

Hi Tipper54,
from the end of July there are only three months until the contract ends.
When you come back in May you'll still have internet.

Thanks for the feedback and confirmation that I can keep internet for May/June/July.
But why should I have to pay for Aug/Sep/Oct when I already informed you that it should be cancelled at the end of July (in April) and I will have left Germany at the end of July?

Hi Tipper54,
according to the rules of the Telecommunications Act the term of three months begins with the moving date.
So when you leave Germany permanently with end of July the contract ends in the end of October.
