I canceled my service (notified via post that I was moving overseas / out of Germany, and provided proof of one-way tickets). I received a response, giving an address to mail the equipment to. I mailed the equipment by certified DHL. I've since been billed for November, and now December. I thought maybe November was because our final date was in the middle of the month (although it was not prorated). December's bill should not have happened at all though. I tried using the in-account cancellation feature from MyCable, and they responded with a pdf directing me to use this (the forum) to get some resolution.
I've since canceled the bank account linked to this contract (so any future SEPA requests will be returned unfunded), but I'm trying to do the right thing. Please cancel my account and provide some sort of cancellation notice. Send me a message for my customer number if you're not able to retrieve it through your system.

thanks for your pm.
Your first cancellation was confirmed to the end of the contract term in July 2019. Since you cancelled because of leaving the country, I adjusted this cancellation.
The new termination date is 01.02.2019. This date results from the regulations of the telecommunication law.
