I will buy a Gigacube contract, what speed can I expect and is there an upload limit?

Hello customers and mods. Two very important questions for me:

I live in Berlin, 10117. What download and upload speed can I expect with the 4G and 5G Gigacube? Can you run a test for me, because I don't want to make mistakes in signing a contract.

If I buy 250 or 500 GB Gigacube, this is the download limit. What is the upload limit? Is it included in this number? If the values become too low, is there good customer service to immediately fix the problem, or is it impossible?

When I say the values become too low, I mean the internet speed. Sorry for writing it wrong.

There are no promised minimum speeds for GigaCube contracts - so it can be anything in the range from 32 kBit/s up to 500 MBit/s - depending on the load of your mobile network cell. And as this load can change very quickly, there is nobody that will promise or guarantee any minimum bandwidth using the GigaCube.

I live in the middle of the capital of Germany, not in a small town with low coverage. If Vodafone is offering 5G internet with 500 GB limit for over 80 EUR a month, there has to be good quality + tests that the customer can look at. I would like to hear information regarding this from a Vodafone representative. Thanks.

Hey xChaolin,

even as an employee - there is no guaranteed minimal bandwith for a mobile product.
Especially Indoors , the bandwith varries massivle on individual factors like thickness of walls , isolation , other signales near....

As a simplification - if you live inside a bunker you won't get a good signal - no metter how good the radio tower is.

You can check whats expected at your concrete adress (please check with the concrete street / housenumber)  here https://www.vodafone.de/hilfe/netzabdeckung.html  

Click on Zeig mir die Netzkarte -> enter your adress.
This shows you on the bottom left the expected bandwith via mobile solutions from us . If you click on "Informationen zur Auslastung" you will see an estimated bandwith for your adress,

Could I ask 2 more questions? I already ordered and received the GigaCube. Thankfully, I am getting 20-30 mbps upload, which is great. The download is also okay, but around 70-80 mbps. The modem is right next to the window, which makes me think that this is the maximum I will get. Since Berlin already has 5G and I live in the center of the city, wouldn't the download speed be much higher? I live in a new apartment with very little electronic devices inside, and the modem is not blocked by any walls to the outside.

My second question would be, I have a Vodafone mobile line and have had it for the last 4 years. Is there a possibility to get 10 EUR off the monthly price when you have a mobile line from Vodafone, or I am I remembering incorrectly?
