My cable internet was completely down for the rest of the day due to a return channel problem. This is quite annoying, I am grateful for any suggestions and solutions.

“There is a return path interference on your connection. Our video shows you exactly what this is . In short: it affects your internet and telephone connection. And your TV reception if your TV box uses the internet. Since the interference only occurs every now and then, it may take a little longer to find the cause. But: We are on it and will resolve the interference as quickly as possible! We currently expect the problem to be resolved within a week.”

When there is a return path interference, you can never say exactly when it will be fixed. It can sometimes take weeks until such a return path interference is found.
