Cannot login into my new router

Hello, I just received a new router with a new contract from Vodafone. The router is Vodafone TG3442DE model.

I connected to the WLAN from the router (Vodafone-****) and then I went to 192.168.0.1 on Brave browser.

On this page, the username 'admin' has been grayed out and when I use the password written on the back of the router, I get "wrong username or password". Since username cannot be changed, only password could be wrong but I have used the password on the back of the router and I have verified multiple times that I am not making any mistakes.

I have reset the router as well by pressing the hidden button until the LEDs on the front flashed. Even after doing this I cannot still login into the router using the password from back of the router.

have you used the correct password for admin or have you used the wifi password by mistake?

also take care off 0 vs O and B vs 8

Yes, I tried both passwords just to be sure and wherever possible I have swapped these 'problematic' characters as well. No luck.

Could it be that I have to physically connect an ethernet cable to the router and I cannot login using WLAN?

I tried logging in after connecting the router through a ethernet cable and I could log in just fine.

While connected to WLAN I couldn't login. So a tip to keep in mind for anyone facing similar issue.
