I have recently been having a lot of trouble with Apple AirPlay and Spotify Connect where it works completely one day and then is broken completely the next day. I've been going through Apple's list of suggested network settings for optimal AirPlay performance and think the issue is with DHCP or NAT; because the addresses get renewed every few hours this would explain why I have zero connectivity some days and perfect connectivity on other days.

I suspect the issue is that I'm running a DHCP server and NAT on my third-party WiFi router as well as a DHCP server on the Fritz 6660 cable modem. However, I tried disabling IPv4 DHCP on the modem and the internet stopped working entirely.

So my question is: does anyone have a guide on how to put the Fritz 6660 Cable into bridge mode in such a way that it will not break the internet? Or is this simply not possible with the Fritz 6660?

not nessesary

use your third-party WiFi router as an access point instead as a cascaded router with double NAT
