New connection: Cabel adapter not fitting

Hello All,

Apologies for my post in English. I ordered a new Kabel internet connection in my new apartment.

I got all the devices delivered today which includes an adapter, the router and required cables.

I have the 3 hole socket in my apartment but the top hole(port) has a thick metal screw instead of the hole.

Please see attached image.

So I cannot use the cable directly, also because of this projecting metal I am unable to fit in the adapter.

Could someone please review the image and tell me how to resolve the situation. Can I unscew this metal projection or should I call technical assistance ?

You just have to clear the top hole(port) of the paint.

Then the adapter fits.

Wow, thanks a lot. There was so much paint I didnt even realise its the port with a whole.

I have now plugged the cable but the router is still blinking red. Will wait and see if it changes after some time.
