Wrong upload and download speed

Hello Everybody,

This is my first post.I need your help and advise here.

My contract at the moment is : "Red Internet & Phone 100 Cable" with which I use the standard router which was provided by Kabel Deutschland (not Fritzbox).

When I check the speed on https://www.speedtest.net/ , it is always less. Download fluctuates between 16 - 30 Mpbs and Upload = 4 - 10 Mbps.

5 years ago I had "Red Internet & Phone 25 Cable" which I changed to the plan above last month and I don't see any improvement. Calling to the technical support is also not very helpful due to my poor German.

Can you help me uderstand what is wrong here ?

Are you running the tests via Gigabit LAN directly on the modem or via WLAN? If it is WLAN, have you tried to optimize the connection?

I am running the tests via WLAN. Let me go through the article related to optimization and I will let you know.
