GigaCube Flex cancellation - Leaving Germany

Hi All,

I have a GigaCube Flex contract starting by November, 2018. I'll leave the country in the end of March.

I'll have to cancel my German bank account, so Vodafone won't be able to deduct the mothly fee. How could I pay the remaining fee?

As I leave the country I want to cancel the contract of GigaCube Flex. Is there any solution for cancelling my contract?

When I contracted for GigaCube Flex, I asked the shop assistant if I have to pay more than once 49,90 EUR for the device and then monthly 34,99 EUR. He answered that I have nothing more to pay. After that the "Bereitstellung" suprised me, as another 49,99 EUR deduction.

I think it is really unfair. You advertise the GigaCube Flex as you only pay 49,90 for the device and the monthly fee.

I checked the “Tarifdetails” for GigaCube Flex, there is no mention of Bereitstellung.

I only found it at the bottom of the page (https://www.vodafone.de/privat/mobiles-internet-dsl/gigacube-flex.html😞

“1. Für den GigaCube Flex-Tarif gilt: Du zahlst einmal 49,99 Euro für die Bereitstellung und 34,99 Euro Basispreis pro Monat. Für das Gerät zahlst Du einmal 49,90 Euro. Auf Deiner 1. und auf Deiner letzten Rechnung berechnen wir Dir den Basispreis für den 1. und den letzten Vertragsmonat anteilig: Je nach dem, wann genau Dein Vertrag anfängt und endet und wie Dein Rechnungszeitraum ist.“

I sent an email to the Vodafone Shop but they didn't bother to reply.

Hello rekakatona,

if you are using the GigaCube Flex, it means, that you only pay the monthly fee of 34,99 Euro when the GigaCube is used. If you don't use it, you won't pay anything. The cancellation is posssible to the end of the 2-year-contract.

As you quote in the last paragraph, all costs are clearly decribed:

* single charge of 49,90 Euro for the device

* single charge of 49,99 Euro connection price

* monthly fee of 34,99 Euro if the cube is used
