DSl Gateway Timeout Error, asking to plug in DSL cable when its already plugged in

Hi,

Since yesterday midnight my internet is dead. I tried resetting the router this afternoon but even then it gives a message to plug in the DSL cable and doesnt move to the next page and shows gateway timeout. It happened all of a sudden and something like this never happened before. I moved to a new apartment in Passau a week ago but the whole transition was smooth and the internet was set up by the technician and was working completely fine for a week until yesterday. Please can someone help me out here
