No internet connection.

Hello,

I'm writing in English, cause my German is quite bad. About 2 weeks ago I signed a contract for the internet. About a week ago, before the Christmas I received a router. I connected it to the socket, but it was not working. I tried calling a hotline, but it's available only in German.

Today I came back home from Christmas and I noticed that:
a) I received an email "Ihr Vodafone Kabel-Anschluss ist bereit" stating that my internet connetion is now active and asking me to install my router in next 5 days
b) internet is still not working

Can someone help me solve this problem and connect to the internet?

Hi Marek,

is there any LED blinking at the router? Have you checked the cable connection? Are all cables plugged in tightly?

Can you please send me your customer number, name and address in a private message? So I can check details.

Hello, I still don't have an internet connection.

Techican visited me in January, but was unable to install the internet, cause there was no internet signal in cables. He said that he needs to schedule an appoitment with housemaster to get an access to the basement. I was told that I'll be informed about a new appointment, but so far noone has reached out to me.

Can you help me, please?

Hello,

Thank you for your help in the past. I've been away from Berlin for last several months due to my job. I just came back to Berlin and would like to finish the internet installation process.

- I signed a contract nearly a year ago, but due problems with the first installation and by constant absence in Berlin, the process has never been finished.

- In the previous messages you asked me about my phone number and a phone number to my landlord to access the basement.
->My phone number is: XXX,
-> my landlord's (Michael XXX) phone number: XXX
I have the key to the main area of the basement, but if there is a need to access a specific room, please contact the landlord.
- I know that I also have an outstanding bill with Vodofone. I just settled it.

Thank you for you help and please tell me what are the steps forwards to finish the installation process.

Thank you for scheduling an appointment. The technician came over last friday (10 Jan). Unfortunately after spending over an hour in my apartment and the basement, he said that he is unable to install the internet. I don't know what is the cause of this (my german is very basic, same as his english). Please let me know what is the cause, and how we can proceed from here to get the internet installed.

Hi Marekk,

your flat is not connectet to the cable in the house. It is supposed, that you have a connection to SAT-TV. I think you have to talk to your landlord to get informed about the cable- and connectionways in your house.
