Hallo,

I got the Kundennummer and Aktivierungscode today and tried to connect to some hotspot/homespot which I was able to reach from my place, but it never worked although the routers seem to be near me.

Before I got the Aktivierungscode I heard that it would take a few days, so I got a vodafone hotspot ticket valid for a week, but that one never worked either.

I know that I need to give a notice 4 weeks before canceling the contract, but it did not work for a single time so I‘d like to cancel my contract right away and get a refund if vodafone withdraws my money.

Could someone tell me what I should do in this case? Sorry for writing in English and thank you in advance!

Hallo again,
I just checked one outdoor hotspot and it worked well with my phone. But it does not matter when homespots do not work properly as you said, because I made the contract to use internet at home. So if the homespot at my place is not fixable, I‘d like to cancel the contract and get a refund (if Vodafone withdrew my money already). Thank you.

Hi Vodafonehotspot,

these spots are home spots they are provided by other customers. There is no right to permanent use. When a customer turns off the device, the hotspot is gone. By the way, the Hotspotflat is not to be seen as a permanent replacement for an own connection. Rather, it should offer the possibility to access the hotspots on the way.

I am aware of that, but I registered for it because I stay here for just 2 months. So is it possible to cancel the contract now? Or will Vodafone charge the money for the first month anyway?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I thought the problem is already solved.

But one weird thing is, today I found that I was charged 34 euros, not 19,99 euros.

I think that it's already ridiculous that I have to pay 20 euros for sth I could not even use it for a single minute, but I admit that now I'm too late for that.

But could you explain me why I need to pay 34 euros now? Thank you.

Hi,

sorry to bother you again, but I remembered that I activated my contract on 23rd because I received the renewed activation code after I came back from my holiday (I came back on 22nd). So I don't understand why I should pay from 10th of July.

And why do you charge me for the whole August when I want to cancel it now if it's possible to pay partially for a month? I could not use the hotspots, that was why I asked for a refund and I wrote you already on 23rd of July.

I never bother any service center and never want to make a trouble, but this is totally nonsense! You (not you Tina, but Vodafone) make an advertisement like people can connect to any of your internet network, but now you say that it's not possible since the routers are owned by some private customers. Then you have to clarify it on your website or you should not name these routers like normal hotspots. This is really absurd for a large company like Vodafone.

the activation code was already sent to you on 10.07.2018 Even if you only activated it on 23.07. we still charge from 10.07.

We have not received any cancellation for the contract. for this reason, the fee will continue to be charged.

the necessary data for the activation was sent in time. Therefore, we cannot refund any fees here.

The contract will be terminated on 06.09.2018.
