what is the meaning of [88000102]: Device disconnected mac address REASON-CODE=8 ?

mac address is the one of MacBook Air.

Clear is that MacBook Air has been disconnected from WiFi, what is the cause coded as 8?

Hi,

maybe this is initiated by band steering mechanism, try to disable band steering and check if disconnects persists.

As far as I know band steering is still buggy on Vodafone standard routers.

It is a pity if linked to band steering, it is a very useful feature

but exactly this code 8 what does it mean?

could you please suggest any modem having a very good management of WiFi?

Till now I used SAGECOM and after 2 years I got substitution with Compal and now after 1 year I get Technicolor.

I truly appreciate that Vodafone substitutes modem when they are giving problems, but if there is a superior one where I must pay maybe I can go for it

I also have the impression that modem I had has no support from manufacturers, Compal never answered to my email till now...

habe you tried to disable band steering? What exactly the meaning of the Reason-Code is would be a question for Technicolor. Have you tried and contacted the colleagues?

@Claudia hello, I shall try with steering disable, if it is sporadic and I do not see massive malfunction I keep steering enable because it is truly a useful feature.

According to the logs there was the error message in the last 12 days only once and that was today on 12.01.21. Have you tried it with a factory reset?

just to add that Technicolor never answered my email: business as usual for these companies, Compal is the same. These are not serious companies

I'm suffering from the same problem 88000102, band steering is switched off, i tried a factory reset, but the

error came back . I have the same newest firmware as mentioned in this thread before.
What is the reason of 88000102 ?
