Hallo zusammen,

ich bin seit Dezember Vodafone Kunde und hätte gerne, dass mein Internetanschluss (CableMax 1000) auf Dual Stack umgestellt wird. Ich habe eine Fritzbox 6591 Cable im Einsatz (also DOCSIS 3.1), und würde gern den FritzFon App benutzen können.

Vielen Dank schonmal an die Moderatoren, falls ihr das möglich machen könnt.

kommt auf das Bundesland an, laut AGB´s gibts die nur in einem Buisnessvertrag!

Ich bin im vorheriges Kabel Deutschland Bereich, das Gerät ist aber meiner Eigentum.

Als ich verstanden habe, es gibt kaum möglichkeit hier auf echtes Dual Stack umzustellen wenn ich kein Businessvertrag habe, aber DS-Lite sollte funktionieren, oder?

mit einer eigenen Fritzbox 6591 hast du bereits Dual Stack

Hey, thank you very much for the answer and apologies for the long delay in my response. If you don't mind me continuing with the topic, do you think it would still be possible in my scenario to ask for a static IP from VF due to Homeoffice needs (i.e. VPN)? My current settings look like this (see attached image).

You could try first option instead 2nd option.

static IP is definetly only availible in Business but a don't know any scenario, where this is nessesary for vpn.

I understand, I thought if I had a public IP it will eventually change and I would not be able to join my VPN again. But if it works then no need to have a static IP. Thanks!

Usualy you use DynDNS to accomplish your IP.

In Fritzbox it is recommended to use MyFritz.

So it takes no effect, if IP changes.

My work around:

2 Fritzboxes are connected via VPN. In VPN settings you find no public IP but the name of Myfritz-account.

1 Fritzbox is a 6490 cable. Last IP-change was several month ago. I guess early december 2020.

1 Fritzbox is a 7560 (1&1). This IP changes every day.

VPN works since many years stable.
