Hi,

Sorry for english, but makes my expalanation easier 🙂

I have had several months already 1GBit/s cable connection. And from beginning behaviour has been the same but now only found time to really debug this.

Vodafone own speedtest shows that Modem can get that 1Gbits/s (or even a little bit more).

But I cannot get more than ~250 Mbit/s from LAN connector according same speedtes plus.

I have BRIDGED mode modem, so very limited visibility from modem itself what is status there.

In LAN side I have tested

- several PC's with different OS's (Win10/linux) directly to modem (so public IP directly in PC LAN port)

- from "HomeNetwork" routers

- Behind my own Firewall

Status is always same and I'm wondering how it can be that modem (according Vodafone speedtest plus) should get that 1Gbit/s, but cannot deliver it to LAN port.

Also tested inside of home network with iperf's and file transfers that all machines are capable to 1Gbit/s.

Any of tested results shows over 100Mbit/s, all ports are up with 1000Mbit/s mode (Gigabit mode).

Any idea how to check from modem (bridged mode) towards "Inside network" speedtest (like iPerf or similar) ?

Or could it be that Speedtest plus is not reliable when stating that 1Gbit/s can be reached ?

maybe the modem itself has a malfunction or the network behind it. This would not fit to the test. Please leave us the customer number, address and date of birth of the contract holder via private message.

If it's all right, I'd be happy to send a technician over to you. There is an increased error rate on your modem, which can lead to degradation.

Please send me a PN with a current cell phone number, info if you can access the house amplifier and if there are any signs of Covid-19.

Du kannst hier nicht viel mehr selber testen. Es gibt eine Fehlerrate auf der Leitung, daher soll ja der Techniker bei Dir vorbeikommen. Dazu benötigen wir bitte eine aktuelle Mobilfunknummer.
