I used the settings page on https://kabel.vodafone.de/meinkabel/ to order deactivation of HomeSpot.

The router I'm talking about is the CGA4233DE provided by Vodafone themselves.

Sorry for asking in English, my German isn't good enough for these sorts of discussions yet.

I'm not complaining or anything like that, I'm just really curious and trying to understand: why do I have to wait so long for HomeSpot deactivation to be carried out, in order to have access to bridge mode?

Seven days seems very excessive, especially when you consider that the WiFi function in my vodafone router has been disabled for several weeks. So, why? Is there anything I can do to accelerate the process? I really need that bridge mode enabled.

I find this a bit weird.

I think you have to call the Vodafone service.

Is it your own cable modem ( router ) - what is the brand name ?

Hi GuiMR,

the duration of 7 days was determined by the specialist department. I'm afraid I can't tell you why. Probably the colleagues want to avoid that the bridge mode is switched on and off in daily intervals. That would not be so good for the infrastructure, because new IP addresses would have to be assigned all the time. But as I said, that would only be my guess.

Best regards

Lars

Ah, I guess that makes some sense. Too bad though, I really want to just get bridge mode working and then never change it.

I assume calling the tech support line and asking "pretty please could you do this now and not make me wait a week" would not work?
