Hi,

sorry for English, don't know German well enough to talk on a technical topic.

So I'm struggling with Internet connection problems lately, like the last 1+ months. It's sporadic but for the last 4 days it's absolutely terrible every evening. Techsupport was not able to help me via phone or email and I was sent here. They asked me to run speedtest but it always shows good speed (when it's able to load the website) and, of course, it can't show packet loss.

Problem: I have the basic router provided by Vodafone. It has Wifi disabled completely. All the devices are connected via Ethernet to all 4 ports. And I can see a packet loss even between two devices connected to the router directly via LAN. If I open SSH session from my PC to one of two (Linux based) devices it lags as hell. The same happens of course with any external connection to anything in the Internet. Sometimes when I reboot the router is comes up online but Web UI is unreachable until I reboot again. Reboot also helps with the lags but only for a short time.

Pinging 192.168.0.57 with 32 bytes of data:

Could you try if this also happens if you connect all devices to a Gigabit Ethernet switch and only connect this switch to the cable router? Just to be sure that it's something with the router and not something with your devices or network cables...

Unfortunately I don't have any switch at home for such test. But I've tried RespberryPi, Debian based host, Windows and Macbook. I use Macbook at work every day and it has no problems with network. Also if I connect any two devices directly I get zero packet loss or delays between them. If I connect them to the router - I get problems.

Uptime since last reboot	00 days, 03 hours and 21 minutes

^^ router uptime and I already see lags.

Yesterday I had 30% packet loss. So I've bought some network equipment to offload Vodafone's router. Right now I have all the clients connected to my own router and WAN port of that router is connected to the first ethernet port on Vodafone router. So at the moment Vodafone router has only one active client - my router. Let's see how it performs with a single client.

It works much better with only one client for the last 36 hours. So it looks like Vodafone's router can't perform well with multiple local clients connected to it. I guess we can call this thread "solved".
