My internet contract will be terminated 3 months after I have moved out of Germany. Does this mean I still have to pay for 3 extra months eventhough I am not in Germany? This sounds a bit ridiculous.

Yes, that's right and no it isn't ridiculous rather a German law.

Before the Telecommunications Act changed you would have pay to the end of the contract without a special termination right.

that's right. As Mav1976 already wrote this regulation is stated by law.
