Termination of vodafone cable contract under special circumstances (sonderkündigung)

Hello customer care,

I was asked to raise a new thread for my request to be processed, so here I am.

I had an cable internet connection in munich. Since then I have moved to Hamburg. The apartment where I moved to already has an internet connection and I am not allowed to get my own internet connection. So I called the customer care and I was told that I am eligible to get the contract terminated under special circumstances (sonderkündigung) and I was asked to write an email to widerrus@vodafone.com, which I did. I received a reply asking me to raise a new thread here.

I am not posting my details here for obvious reasons. Can someone please DM me for my information so that I complete the process.

Please send me the following data by private message:

- Customer number

- Name

- Date of birth

- Address (new and old)

- Moving date.

thanks for your pm.

Your move to your new flat is already in our system. You can use your connection also at the new address. There is no reason to cancel the contract prematurely.

Hello Moderators,

Instead of opening a new thread, I am replying to this existing thread and hoping to get an answer.

So, I was able to get my contract terminated under special circumstances as I already mentioned in the main thread. However, I did not know about this until very late. After the contract was terminated, I was unable to send back my router in 14 days and I understand that there is a 100 euro penalty for that.

I finally managed to rent a new place in Hamburg and I checked for the availability of Kabel Deutschland internet and it is indeed available in my new apartment. So, is it possible for me to make a new contract and use the router I have, for my new connection and avoid the penalty of 100 euros this way?

I've been going through your customer files. You have informed us about your move and could take your contract to your new address. You have to reconnect your terminal device and can continue to use it.

Thank you for your response.

I have updated my address again as I am finally moving to a long term apartment. The previous tenant used the Vodafone Kabel service, so I can use the same router. Please have a look at my new address on the portal.

However, i have a couple of questions. When I called the customer service a couple of days ago, I was informed that my contract is terminated and you basically told me to connect the router and start using the internet again. If my contract is terminated how can I just connect the router and start using the internet? Is my contract not terminated yet then? I am confused!

Hello Muda1,

I think there's just a misunderstanding here. Your contract will be terminated at your old address and you will use it again at your new address in Hamburg. For this you have to reconnect your WLAN cable router.

You do not need to worry, everything has been noted correctly.
