When is Internet turned off?

Hello!

I will have to move permanently abroad soon on January. And so I will have to prematurely cancel my Internet contract soon in the future. I need to know the exact date when the Internet service will be stopped because I need the Interenet till I am still in Germany. So, is it the date stated at the city deregistration certificate, the date when you get the router or the date, which I specify as the date of me leaving the country (in the termination contact form)?

It's the date that you return the router - which usually should be within 14 days of your deregistration.

But you'll have to pay for additional 3 months after that date of deregistration/leaving Germany, even if you notice Vodafone right now.

Thank you for reply. I have been searching in the forum. And I read that I should return the router within 14 days after the contract ends. So I am really confused now. The point is that I move out on 09.01.2020. And I would like to return the router on about 07.01.2020 or 08.01.2020. Something like that. How can I achive this?

Simply send the router back at 07.01.2020 or 08.01.2020...

As your deregistration would also need to be set up to this date and not earlier...

But my deregistration from the appartment will be earlier -- on the middle of December. I need this to cancel my insurance contract. They will be making the final bill for long and so on. (?)

Also, I will close my German bank account before I leave. How can I pay for the 3 months while I am still here in Germany? By cash e.g. -- all at once. I cannot pay from my country monthly. We do not use IBANs there. Yep, so sad. That is, I need the final bill inclding the 3 monsths altogether. I can transfer money or pay by cash or Vodafone can take them before I close my bank account. I do not know really.

HELLO! EXUSE ME! BUT I REALLY NEED HELP HERE! I've already been to two Vodafone offices. And I searched all the possible threads here in forum. THERE ARE A LOT OF MODERATORS HERE! WHY CANNOT ANYB HELP ME!!!!!! I AM TIRED OF THIS DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR FROM YOUR COMPANY. I MYSELF PAYED FOR 2 YEARS HERE PRIPERLY. I THINK I DESERVE BASIC CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello JanyaKH,

even if you leave Germany the contract won’t end with the date of your move. Due to German law the contract will end three months after the leaving date.

The devices must be delivered to us within 14 days of the end of the contract at the latest. You can also return them earlier.

I already wrote several times that I KNOW about the 3 months payment. I copy paste my question:

I can't send you a final invoice before the contract ends. You can transfer the monthly amounts in advance.
