Earliest possible time to cancel my contract

As my new DSL and Mobile contract began on January this year, I assumed that the earliest time I could cancel the contract would be September 2020, but I am now somewhat unsure, because the email I received yesterday due to moving house seems to say I would need to submit notice of termination before that time.
Please let me know so I can send my details in a private message.

Hi HelloMrJames,

The minimum term of our DSL contracts is 24 months.

You can cancel with a notice period of 3 months before the end of the contract.

If you move to an address where we can't provide a DSL connection, you can cancel the contract early.

The contract will then be terminated after 3 months from the date of the move.

Thanks for the info, actually the part about moving house is not really relevant, Vodafone DSL is available at our new address. I just wanted to be sure about the time frame I can cancel my existing contract in. My contract began on 03.01.19 which would mean the earliest possible time I can issue my wish to terminate would be 01.09.20. Correct?

Hi HelloMrJames,

if the contract started on 3.1.2019, it will run until 2.1.2021.

If you do not cancel the contract by 2.10.2020 at the latest, it will be extended for another 12 months.
